Sea Urchin Deep Dive
Join Jayde from Dive Eden on Saturday 24 May for a snorkel tour. Visit an urchin barren and a healthy kelp forest. See the difference for yourself. You’ll also learn how to safely collect sea urchins. Note that you need a recreational fishing license to collect your own urchins – available via Service NSW.

A FREE Community Planting and Weeding Session
presented by Social Justice Advocates Of The Sapphire Coast and supported by
Bega Valley Shire Council is scheduled for Saturday the 31st May from 9am –
11am at Bar Beach Merimbula.
We will be tackling a reserve adjacent to the Merimbula Lake, aiming to reduce
weeds and revegetate with local native plants.
This will result in improving the water quality within the catchment as well as
increasing biodiversity around the catchment.
Please bring enclosed shoes, gloves, a hat, sunscreen, and a water bottle.
It will be a great morning to get involved in grassroots care for our
environment and local waterways.
