SJA was contacted with a wonderful donation of a small car. The SEWACS (South East Womens and Childrens Services) https://sewacs.org.au/ youth homelessness program was contacted to pass on this fantastic opportunity to a young person in need.
The donors, Christine and Michael of Bega generously donated their late mother’s Toyota Echo to a lucky and deserving 20 yr old female client. This young person is just 10 hours away from gaining her Ps licence, and commencing a traineeship in disability support.
This car will allow this young woman to safely and reliably get to work and expand her opportunities to gain permanent accommodation across a wider area, as well as doing what she loves; going fishing!
This young person was most grateful and very excited to receive this vehicle from Christine and Michael who also filled the tank and and helped her with the transfer fees.
An opportunity like this can have a long term positive impact, and SJA and SEWACS Youth staff were very happy to have taken a part in this generous act of kindness.
