Whilst it might be well known that the SJASC provides around 65 people in the Bega Valley with crisis accommodation each night, Mick Brosnan, the Convenor of the SJA’s Housing / Homeless Sub Group, has dug out some staggering new statistics.
Cop this !
Since beginning the SJA’s crisis accommodation program the SJASC has …
- supported well over 400 people in the Bega Valley with crisis accommodation
- provided , very conservatively, over 45,600 bed nights
- saved homeless people approx. $4.5 .million ( difference between what they have paid SJASC and what they would have paid for cheap commercial accommodation )
What an effort !
Makes you want to donate doesn’t it ?
