Hello Members,

NEWS FLASH
WILD RYES – SQUIZZY'S TIRES AND MORE
Recidivist donors at large in Pambula !!!!!!!!!
Once again our fabulous support from Wild Rye’s team is extended to our Samaritan shop .
The two families who have established this very enjoyable ( and tasty ) Pambula business and park , have donated hundreds of dollars to our community . ( I don’t actually know how much but as high as $600 – $800 ) .
They have refused to invoice us for the daily coffees and at times food that sustained us through the 16 days of our Samaritan Op Shop .
Yet another donation to help our community .
THANK YOU Wild Rye team – welcoming staff who deal so capably and pleasantly with the constant queues salivating somewhat impatiently!!!?
ALSO>>>>>>>>>>>
Once again Squizzy's Tires and More (Bullara St Pambula) has generously supported our community.
Not only helping with a voucher to augment the up coming auction at our 'Power to the People' fund raising event on March 28 at the surf club, but repeatedly wavering costs to register Practical ways to support our community work that adds up enormously over the many years of his support Thank you Squiz and all your team .
Thank you all

Bega Valley L2P program – Licence Support Help Needed
Thank you again for welcoming me at your last meeting. It was wonderful to hear about all the amazing community support that the team is tackling.
I am looking forward to joining the team personally, but also exploring how we can work together to strengthen outcomes for young people and vulnerable community members across th
L2P Program support options…
1 – Volunteer Co-Pilots/ Mentors
- 1-2 hrs a week tp go driving with someone in the L2P cars
- help someone to be collected from their home to be able to access driving lessons in the main towns (Bega, Pambula, Eden) or to get home after a lesson.
- Study pals – to help with understanding and learning the road rules to pass the DKT Driver Knowledge Test
- Help to go into Service NSW to ensure that they get the help they need.
Diversity of participants:
- Young people with no support or no access to a road worthy vehicle
- Young people whose parents both work and have limited availability to help them get the 120 hours
- Mature-Age drivers where they’ve always had access to public transport but struggle in our region
- Mature age women who have never previously had the opportunity to gain a licence. Many are carers, newly single, or needing to re-enter the workforce.
2. Resource Support
- Finding second-hand cars including research support and advocacy for additional vehicles to expand into regional townships.
- Help with events, facilitators, organisers eg. RYDA road safety event in 5-7 May at Frogs Hollow.
There are lots of ways big and small anyone in SJA can help the L2P program. Don’t hesitate to call Lou or Mel if you have questions or want to find out more.
Kind regards
Mel & Lou
