The Social Justice Advocates of the Sapphire Coast held a vibrant and highly successful music fundraising event last Saturday evening, 28th March at the Pambula Surf Life Saving Club. With over 90 tickets sold and more than 100 people attending, the evening was a wonderful show of community spirit and support for the project.
Guests enjoyed a fantastic atmosphere filled with music, connection, and generosity. The music and entertainment, raffles and auctions were a highlight of the night, with many people enthusiastically taking part and contributing to our solar garden fundraiser. The overall vibe was warm, joyful, and deeply community-focused.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who came along, as well as to the many individuals and local businesses who generously donated prizes and funds. Special appreciation also goes to those who made significant contributions prior to the event and on the night — A special mention of Cliff Wallis (Owner of the Tathra Hotel) who generously donated to our project. Your support means so much.
A very special thank you to Frankie J. Holden, Chris Ralph, Felicity Dowd, Candy McVeity, and
Gary Carson Jones for generously giving their time to support our Pilot Community Solar Garden Project and to the many tireless volunteers prior, during and after the event. Another special mention to Chris Ralph and Janine Houghton for making this event happen.
Thanks to this incredible collective effort, we raised nearly $20,000. This is a truly outstanding result and will enable us to move forward with Stage 1 of our project at Greg’s Flat. Additional funds are currently being sought via grants and watch closely for our next community fundraising event.
Regards,
Russell Jennings
