The Social Justice Advocates have been in action in the Bega Valley since 2011. Part of the Advocacy has been to invite a group of Refugees to our beautiful Valley for a weekend holiday, now for the 5th time.
On Thursday, October 20th, 47 guests (13 Families) will arrive in the Bega Valley for a holiday weekend. The itinerary below shows the plans for the weekend:
Thursday 20th: Guests will arrive and have their first night with their host families.
Friday 21st: School visits.
Saturday 22nd: (from 10am) Pambula Beach swim, BBQ lunch (all Halal), games/activities and (2pm) Welcome to Country and Indigenous Smoking Ceremony by Nathan Lygon.
Sunday 23rd: Visit to Potoroo Palace and Yellow Pinch – BYO lunch.
Volunteers are welcomed and needed to help welcome our guests and create a beautiful weekend.
All community members are also welcome to come along and participate.
