Background
In 2019, a choir from the Bega Valley, supported by the Bega Valley
Advocates for Timor-Leste (BVATL), a friendship group twinned with
Barique-Natarbora in 2004, performed in Natabora and Maliana. The visit
to Australia by _Koru Lian Timor _has been postponed for two years due
to Covid restrictions. The trip is organised by BVATL’s Cultural
Co-ordinator, Dave Crowden and supported by the Social Justice Advocates
of the Sapphire Coast and Four Winds. The tour is also sponsored by a
Cultural Diplomacy Grant through the Department of Foreign Affairs and
Trade.
