SJA has hurtled into 2024 with barely a pause.
Here is some of the latest news and upcoming events:

1) General Meeting: Thursday February 1, 4.30pm CWA Rooms 1/24 Toallo Street Pambula. ALL WELCOME!
Guest Speaker: Jacob Shields will speak on Crunchtime Australia and his other current projects.

2) Crisis Accommodation Unit #7 is in progress.
Moving from private land at North Tura to Pambula Reflections Caravan Park this week 15-19 January.
If you can help with unpacking this unit in Pambula – you may have prior experience – the job involves some manual labour, possibly ladder work but nothing too strenuous.
Any amount of time helping will be appreciated, but work will generally start at 8.30 am.
Site number 8. Please park OUTSIDE the park during this busy time.

3) Dreamcoat Theatre Productions ‘Fiddler on the Roof’

Don’t miss this unforgettable journey filled with humor, love, and memorable tunes, including “Tradition,” “Sunrise, Sunset,” and “Matchmaker, Matchmaker.” “Fiddler on the Roof” is a captivating tale that will resonate with your heart and spirit.

A local, not-for-profit theatre production with excess profits from the show donated to the Sapphire Coast Social Justice Advocates (SJA) to support people affected by homelessness in our local area.

4) BEGA MULTICULTURAL CENTRE MEET AND GREET TUESDAY JANUARY 23 PAMBULA CWA ROOMS 1/24 TOALLO ST PAMBULA   TIME: 10 AM – 12 PM
We’re excited to host our first gathering at the Pambula CWA in efforts to build community in the southern part of the Shire.
This is an opportunity for everyone to connect in the new year. Food & drink provided. Families & children welcome!

5) Bermagui Survival Day held on the 26th Jan 2024, “It’s a day where we come together at Bermagui to reflect on the past and celebrate the survival of our people and culture Bermagui Survival Day is a free community event which does rely on the community and business/organisation funding the organizers are unpaid volunteers and all money raised goes toward funding the event”. The event is held on Bermagui Oval.
