Jonathan Marshall has kindly agreed to present at the Pambula Surf Life Saving Club on Monday, February 15 at 5.30pm

Jonathan Marshall is a Future Fellow at the University of Technology Sydney, doing research into transitions to renewable energy and the problems and unintended consequences of that transition. He has been doing research in the Bega region and in other country towns in NSW over the last three years.

In this talk and discussion, Jonathan will be making a comparison of the somewhat bumpy climate transition in the areas around three NSW country towns.

He will argue that CEFE in Bega/Tathra has been conspicuously successful largely because they have focused on people’s generosity, rather than on playing by the rules, or seeking ‘development’, which seem to be the strategies deployed elsewhere.
